Soccer player Robbie Rogers reveals he is gay

MIDFIELDER, who won 18 caps for American national team, also reveals he has retired from football at 25.

U.S. national team player, MLS star and former Leeds United midfielder Robbie Rogers penned a blog post on Friday implying that he is gay, and choosing to walk away from football.

The internet was full of encouragement for Robbie Rogers, who announced on Friday that he was gay and that he would at least temporarily be stepping away from the game.
