The week ahead: Monday night football, Thursday night tree lighting

Tonight matches the 5 and 6 New Orleans Saints against division foe, the 10 and 1 Atlanta Falcons. The Saints of course are are still digging out of an early season hole after dropping their first four games of the season.

As long as the NFL is delivering big audiences on Sunday and Monday, the odds of CBS, NBC, Fox or ESPN making noise about Thursday Night Football are pretty long. The NFL Network does not have a long-term agreement with the league for the Thursday
